Dr. Bashist brings her wide range of clinical and assessment skills to Elements Psychological Services where she provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessments. She combines her specialized training and experience in clinical neuropsychology, health psychology, and clinical psychology with clients. Clients find her to be warm and empathic, and she creates a supportive environment that puts both children and adults at ease. Dr. Bashist specializes in neuropsychological assessment of children and adults, with experience in the evaluation of learning disabilities, ADHD in children and adults, and traumatic brain injury, stroke and other neurological diseases.
Experience & Training
Dr. Bashist earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and completed her clinical internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in The Neuropsychological Testing and Evaluation Center. She gained valuable experience through a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Dr. Bashist then worked for several years as a Staff Neuropsychologist at Kessler, where she served as a Clinical Supervisor to a number of doctoral-level graduate students. Dr. Bashist also managed the outpatient Cognitive Rehabilitation Program at Kessler’s Saddle Brook campus, helping clients to optimize their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral levels of functioning post brain injury through individual assessment, support groups, and psychoeducation. Dr. Bashist is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and New York.
