Approach/Specialties
Dr. Allison Shale Deutsch, Psy.D. is a supervisor at Elements and a Licensed Psychologist in New Jersey (#5389) and New York (#020820) and she also has Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) from the PSYPACT Commission (APIT 12960) allowing her to treat patients located in many other states. Dr. Shale works primarily with children, adolescents, and families, with particular interests in ADHD, anxiety, behavior management and parenting training. She works heavily from a Cognitive-Behavioral framework and is certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy; she has a warm, flexible, and solution-focused approach when working with children and their families.
Experience and Training
Dr. Shale received her undergraduate degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences from Johns Hopkins University and her Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. She completed an APA-Accredited Internship and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at ANDRUS in White Plains, New York. Dr. Shale has supervised many graduate students both at ANDRUS and the Rutgers University Graduate School of Psychology.
